Sander de Vaan is a passionate Dutch writer on wine, literature, Spain and sports. He published interviews with all kinds of personalities, from football stars (Johan Cruijff, Ronaldinho, Jorge Valdano) to Nobel Prize laureates (Jorge Saramago, Mario Vargas Llosa), in publications in the Netherlands and several other countries.
In 2019 he published his Wineguide Spain, followed by Wineguide Germany in 2021, with special focus on more than 100 winemakers from all 13 “Anbaugebiete”. Next summer he will release Wineguide France, with interviews with some 120 vignerons and detailed information on all wine regions.
Further, he also publishes a yearly wine calendar, with a daily text on wine-related subjects and short interviews.
