Peter Ranscombe spent nine years as a journalist with The Scotsman newspaper in Edinburgh, writing about wine merchants, whisky distillers and craft brewers for the business desk. He became a freelance journalist and copywriter in 2014 and completed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust diploma the following year. He is the wine columnist and drinks blogger for Scottish Field magazine, the drinks columnist for BQ and BQ Scotland magazines, and a contributor to titles including Whisky Quarterly and World Travel Guide.
Away from wine, Peter edits BQ and BQ Scotland – a pair of quarterly magazines for entrepreneurs – and contributes to titles including The Times, The Press & Journal and The Lancet’s specialist medical journals. His copywriting work includes penning advertising features, press releases and ghost-written opinion pieces for public relations agencies and a select number of companies, charities and public-sector agencies.
Welcome Peter! We look forward to sharing your news and articles on The Circular soon.
