With previous careers in IT and then as an NHS Speech and Language Therapist, Robin Goldsmith decided to follow his true passion and become a freelance drinks writer.
He has contributed to many magazines, websites and trade organisations, including Business France, Académie du Vin, Wine Enthusiast, IWSR, Speciality Food Magazine, IWC Canopy and travel magazines.
He is also a founding member and director of the Drinks Cru, a group of drinks trade communicators currently organising the inaugural Volcanic Wines of the World trade and consumer tastings on October 2nd 2023.
Additionally, Robin is in-house copywriter for Ryebeck Ltd., contract distillers and one of the UK’s leading providers of distillation and brewing equipment.
In addition to writing, Robin is a guest presenter for the Uxbridge Wine Society and organises wine and gin tastings for private clients and charities. He also judges for Great Taste Awards, People’s Choice Drinks Awards and CAMRA.
